It’s that time of the year again: the time of retrospection. As we wrap up the year by sharing some of the most remarkable highlights and noteworthy developments – including an unexpected turn and some key milestones – we’d first like to share our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support. Sure, we can finish our annual recap by wishing you and yours all the best, but why not start with it? Here’s to everything you could ever hope for in 2025!
As for the actual recap, let’s not get too stuck in a year that is already almost over. After all, we’re only one week away from kicking off the Top 2000, the annual Dutch tradition on NPO Radio 2, the highly anticipated music countdown broadcast featuring the 2000 most popular songs (as voted by listeners). The countdown starts on Christmas Day and runs through the end of the year, culminating in the final song being revealed just before midnight on New Year’s Eve. After that, no more 2024! But while we still have you, let’s take one final look at the year, in three brief sections: partnerships, How-To articles and – last but not least – exciting news that is specific to Agiblocks, such as new functions and features.
Partnerships
We’ll start in the Spring of 2024, with what might very well the biggest news for us here at Agiboo this year; joining the Cultura family! After all, the acquisition has seriously enhanced our global reach in Sugar, Coffee, Cocoa, Grain & Oilseed, as well as deepened our experience in Commodities Trading and Risk Management. We are still very excited about the possibilities this new reality brings, particularly in leveraging Cultura’s collaborative environment, global reach, and deep expertise in Agribusiness.
PowerBI
In that vein, Agiboo is always looking out for exciting new ways to improve our flagship software and while we have a very dedicated team to do so, we’re all too aware that external support is a great way to innovate our product too. Which is why we’ve called upon the services of Big Wave BI to offer game-changing business analytics capabilities within Agiblocks using the Power BI platform. As much as 97 percent of all Fortune 500 companies use Microsoft Power BI, so we’re not going to waste your time talking about the overall advantages. If you are new to the concept, you can find an introductory article on Power BI here. And over here, we’ll take a closer look at what Big Wave BI has already brought to the Agiblocks table – as well as to what’s to come in the foreseeable future!
CommodityAI
Another exciting 2024-partnership has been with the experts of CommodityAI – as their suite of applications is specifically designed to automate operations for commodity traders and producers. “We’re enhancing your control over your commodity trading operations through end-to-end shipment management, advanced tracking and AI-driven performance insight”, said Philip Koenig. “One-size-fits-all generic solutions don’t work, because commodities are too specific. It has to be tailored to those needs – as you well know. You offer a great product in Agiblocks, so much innovative functionality and abilities to organizing data in a meaningful way. We complement that approach with our platform.”
How-To’s, listicles and insights
How-To articles are like the IKEA instructions of the internet – they promise to help you build something great, but never explain why you’ve still got a couple of screws left. Still, we’re fond of them, as they offer a great way to explain the many prowesses of Agiblocks. Moreover, in an annual recap, you can turn the lot of them into just a few bullet points;

Agiblocks features and news
As we’ve proven in 2023 by introducing the latest version of our software, we’re always looking ahead. Even with Agiblocks 4.0, the culmination of our vision for the full potential of our CTRM software, we’re still not done. Here are some highlights of new features in 2024.
Blending & Processing
We love to work together with our clients. Of course, proper onboarding is an important part of successful implementation. For a client in nuts and spices though, we’ve decided to go a step further: to collaborate on introducing Blending and Processing within the Agiblocks dashboard. Blending is a cost-effective way to process and match your deliverables to different buyers’ specifications. We ended up tackling whatever it is that you need to streamline your blending & processing workflow too.
New sampling features
Agiblocks may be a strong contender across many commodities, it is an extremely powerful fit in terms of meeting the specific requirements of four commodities in particular – Coffee, Sugar, Cocoa and Grains. To underline the fact that our flagship software is the go-to CTRM solution for buyers and sellers of these four groups, we’d like to address an important factor in the commodity trading business – Sampling – and, of course, how Agiblocks can help.
Carbon traceability features
Consumers and industries the world over need to take action now to reduce emissions and prevent the worst effects of climate change. Our collective carbon footprint, most notably in the context of industry emissions, is key in that. Consumers are taking a stance – and expect brands to do the same. So, let’s look at carbon traceability and how you as a commodity trader can keep your fingers on the pulse in Agiblocks. Find out more!

Agiblocks is quite big on risk management – the information generated by our software can prove critical and help make decisions concerning your risk exposure, in real-time and wherever you need it.
